Battered immigrant spouses (and their children) of U.S. citizens or permanent residents can seek a waiver of the mandated conditional residency period if they have filed for permanent residence in the U.S. Volunteer attorneys prepare waiver application and gather supporting evidence.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Eligibility criteria: Clients must be low-income. This is a back-up program to assist agencies who cannot handle the problem. Agencies are requested to contact the program directly when they have an appropriate client.
Payments accepted: FREE.
Languages (other than English): Only English and some Spanish at above phone number; arrangements can be made for Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Yoruba and other languages.
